Why You Might Know Us

Carol Allen has always been driven to create palpable impact in environments not always known for change. Indeed, it has been her career’s work.
It started decades ago when law firm tradition trumped nearly everything, and Carol found ways to pull at the margins to create new ways to recruit lawyers and brand law firms. In those days, steps like marketing a law firm’s industry expertise (now commonplace, but unheard of decades ago); a Fast Track Program on law school campuses (offers on the spot); distributing hard cover books touting the firm’s brand on campus (New Rules, 3D Lawyer); Chairing Managing Partner conferences to dig in and discuss the impact of law firm culture on origination; and publishing and speaking about topics that would change the head down psyche of law firm tradition – all made headlines and introduced what was possible in its place.
After decades of bringing this excitement to Am Law 50 firms and leading operations in recruiting, branding, and marketing, Carol launched The Allen Rosen Group in 2011. From the first day forward, Carol brought that same zest to her high-end boutique search firm.
Since that first day, there have been few if any placements that haven’t resulted in texts and emails from the candidates placed (you’ve changed my life) and the law firms received (already one of the gang; taking us on an exciting new path for the future, new business).
